During a weeklong trip arranged by ISRAEL21c and Keshet: the Center for Educational Tourism in Israel, Delicious Israel was delighted to show a new side of Israel to 23 men and women. The group experienced Israel through its cuisine, culture and history during their tour with us.
The tour participants were from 4 different countries and included lay-leaders and supporters from around the United States, including ISRAEL21c President Amy Friedkin.
We started our tour in Jaffa, overlooking the sea, to learn about the port and its significant history. We enjoyed the best hummus in Tel Aviv, followed by fresh spices, burkeas and Turkish coffee from the Levinski spice market. We then ended our day with fresh and flavorful shakshouka near the Carmel Market in the heart of Tel Aviv.
