About The Delicious Chef Role

Delicious Israel is in search of Chefs that will teach cooking workshops in English and Hebrew, as well as cook private dinners, all in our Delicious Cooking Studio overlooking the Carmel Market in Tel Aviv. Our Shuk + Cook experiences involve a guided visit to the market followed by a cooking class that culminates in a full meal for the guests. Your enthusiasm, knowledge, and professionalism will be the main takeaways that will leave our clients with lasting impressions, in addition to the tasty food that they will taste and create with your guidance.

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Leading the market tour portion of the Shuk + Cook through the Carmel (and sometimes the Levinsky) Market.

  • Teaching guests a full cooking class from A to Z.

  • Providing the highest level of hospitality and service to all clients during the experiences.

  • Speaking confidently and knowledgeably about the food and historical aspects of the tours (training provided as needed).

  • Tracking all expenses and submitting receipts in a timely manner.

  • Full set up and break down of the Delicious Cooking Studio to get ready for and clean up after each workshop.

About You

  • You are ORGANIZED and CLEAN in your cooking space.

  • You are artistic and creative with food, and have a good visual aesthetic for serving dishes.

  • Tuned into the Israeli food scene and trends in Israeli cooking.

  • Ability to be on your feet for many hours at a time, lift heavy items as needed to set up the space.

  • Positive energy: you are genuinely excited about what Delicious Israel has to offer and about your role in sharing your knowledge and passion for authentic Israeli cuisine with others.

  • Customer service-oriented: we take pride in treating our guests like friends or family visiting from abroad. Thoughtful service is key to our brand.

  • Ability to teach and explain food concepts in English; conversational Hebrew.

  • Assertive and professional: able to get what we need from our Israeli vendors/partners.
