Protect and Provide for our Heroes

Help protect our courageous Israeli reservists on the front lines by providing them with life-saving supplies.

As we continue to learn of the needs of our Delicious staff and their families, we will continue to update. We are currently running two campaigns to support specific needs.

Please note: we are organizing grassroots efforts, not official organizational campaigns. If you need a donation receipt, please consider donating to the many, many impactful humanitarian organizations such as Magen David Adom, ZAKA, or one of the many programs rebuilding the torn apart communities of the South.

ONGOING UPDATES

**** October 14: We still need your support for purchasing bulletproof vests. We are working with an on-the-ground organization supporting soldiers who will hopefully be transferring as many vests as we can contribute towards in the next 48 hours. We will continue to fundraise until each soldier has the necessary protection.

**** October 13: David’s unit is still at risk. With all of the balagan around sourcing vests, we hopefully (fingers crossed) will have access to supplies by early next week. We will use whatever funding comes through to get as many of the bulletproof vests as we are able.

**** October 12
(1) We are still fundraising for vests for Talia’s Brother’s unit (see description below). The situation with soldiers getting vests has still not been alleviated. We continue hoping that the soldiers will receive them from the IDF channels, and in the meantime, we are trying to be ready for action. CLICK HERE TO FUND.

**** October 10: IDF Announcement

We are hopeful that the recent IDF announcement regarding equipment supply will enable this unit to receive the protective vests they need. We are keeping our fingers crossed that these vests will arrive through the government's supplies. We will persist in our fundraising efforts until they receive the vests.

Dear Friends,

In these horrific times of uncertainty and danger, we see so many heroes emerging. We are here today to tell you about a group of heroes who are defending Israel and its citizens with unwavering courage and dedication.

These brave heroes are a part of a reservist unit called up in the last few days to protect civilian towns under threat in order to free up active duty soldiers who are needed elsewhere (we have purposefully omitted any identifying details of this unit or its past heroic deeds which would also identify them).

These reservists have left behind their families (including one whose wife is meant to give birth any moment), jobs, and the safety of their civilian lives to safeguard Israel, ensuring that we can sleep at night. They are the embodiment of selflessness and sacrifice.

Despite their extraordinary commitment, many of these reservists face unacceptable risks when they are on duty as they do not have the essential protection they need to save their lives: bulletproof vests. These vests are not a luxury; they are a necessity that will literally mean the difference between life and death on the front lines.

We know that many of you are searching for ways to support our courageous Israeli soldiers, and here is a tangible opportunity to make a difference and protect lives. We are launching this campaign to raise funds to purchase bulletproof vests for a specific reserve unit that has requested these.

Our goal is simple: to provide these unsung heroes with the protection they need to continue their vital work.

We are committed to complete transparency throughout the complex process of sourcing, shipping, and delivering the vests.
